Perfection is the enemy of progress

If I’ve learned anything from chasing big goals, it’s this: if you’re waiting until it’s perfect, you’ll be waiting forever. For a long time, I fell into the perfection trap—constantly second-guessing myself and hesitating to put things out into the world because they didn’t feel “ready.” But here’s the truth I had to accept: perfection will always keep you stuck and playing small. Progress, on the other hand, is messy and uncomfortable, but it actually moves you forward. I’ve realized that the most important thing is just to start—start where you are, use what you have, and take that next step, no matter how small or imperfect it feels. For me, getting things done—putting in the work, sharing my journey, or posting my thoughts—matters more than making sure everything is flawless. I remind myself every day: done is better than perfect. If you need a nudge to take action, here it is. Don’t wait until you feel ready. Just start.
